No - Linesy, Turland, Broomy, Shep, Mal, Brads, Daniel,
With keeper Billy missing until h/t Sedgey donned the gloves and covered in goal.
We played really well first half and had to change things after 25mins when Teeny pulled his groin and was replaced by Plattsy. Steelers took the lead after Pulla's poor backpass was intercepted by their stirker who then rounded a few players before a good finish past Sedge.
Barber was rewarded for his hardwork with a clinical finish from 6 yards after a bit of a scrabble. He then finshed well from the penalty spot to put us 2-1 up albeit after a dubious decision by the Referee.
We should have been 2-1 up at the break but we conceded a weak goal right a the death from a corner with a headed goal from their Striker who was unchallenged at the front post. (H/T 2-2)
Everyone was happy with our first half performance although we looked a little disjointed sometimes with the 3-5-2 system.
A few changes were made at the break with Billy going in goal and Ryan and Peter (both making their first appearances of the season) coming on for Taily and Maca.
It took us a while to get into any sort of rhythm, this was not helped when Dan came off with blisters so again the pack was reshuffled with a unwell Nicky going upfront with Todd now at centre midfield. We still were creating chances but were getting caught on the break due to a few tired legs at the back but it was an even game.
Peaty had two glorious headed chances one their Keeper saved well the other going narrowly wide. But it was the Steelers who got the decisive goal a well taken freekick to go 3-2 infront when i say a well taken it was a good finish but he was massively helped by our wall been way too far to the right and our keeper been stood right behind it, thats got to get sorted. I was stood right behind the goalscorer so we had the same view, he must have been rubing his hands!!!
Sedge then came on for Pulla.
The game then could have gone either way but Steelers got their 4th goal right on full time with another well taken goal from their big striker given him his hat-trick. He was their best player on the night along with their sweeper.
(F/T 2-4)
Overall a good game and we know with the lads who were missing this game it would have made us stronger in every department.
Although it is disappointing to lose their are still loads of positives to take from this game.
Lets not forget that the Steelers are a very good team and we wish them well for the forthcoming season, I'm sure we'll draw them in the Cup we normally do as we all know they love the Crosshills bait so I'm sure they'll be wanting an away draw!!
